What does it take to acheive your dream body?
1-Desire. Desire will help you formulate a vision for what your dream body will look and feel like.
2-Goals. Setting powerfully motivating goals will begin to propel you in the direction you need to go to acheive your dream body.
3-Knowlege. You need to know the correct principles to follow to acheive what you desire. This will probably manifest itself in your life in the form of coaches, teachers, role models or mentors.
4-Planning. Really almost any reasonable plan can set you on the path to accomplishing your goals. If it needs adjusting along the way, you can do that as necessary. But you must still have a plan for your workouts and meals, so that you can mentally and physically prepare to get the most out of your workouts, and so that you don't end up eating whatever is available, which usually isn't good!
5-Balance. Finding the right mix of pushing to your limits, and listening to yor body to know when you've done enough, or when you need to take a day to rest. Also, putting fitness goals in their proper perspective in terms of the other goals and demands that exist in your life.
6-Attitude. Keeping the right attitude and mindset is vital in overcoming natural tedencies such as laziness, self-sabotage, discouragement etc. Also, viewing what your doing with excitement and enthusiasm. Having fun with the journey of self-awareness and self-discovery that you will surely experience as you work towards your dream body. There is so much satisfaction that comes from dreaming, setting goals and accomplishing them! Enjoy the journey and you will experience success beyond your wildest dreams!!!

Hi Scott; I believe it takes the right mind set,the right attitude ,determination and lots of will power along with lots of hard work but in the end, when you have all that, it is well worth it. You can achieve anything when you go into it with all these features and setting a gold to what you want to get out of it.It works because I am living proof of it!

The thing I have struggled with my whole life is nutrition as exercising has always been apart of my life. Eating right with small meals everyday is something I need to improve on.

Well, after years of bouncing back to being overwight, I have come to belive that for me it will be to get rid of the fear that makes me (uncounciously) belive that being fit and slim will make me target of sexual undesired advances.

Constant and never ending improvement.

Daily exercise balanced out with moments of silence

gratitude for what I've achieved so far

daily attention to self as well as others

fresh clean food

days of down time and relaxation

working with they body rather than against it

Good fats

and...

every good program requires a plan and sufficient time to implement

... the key component time to see the results

Be Well

The first step is to believe in yourself. Knowing how to eat properly and to exercise means very little if you don't believe you can succeed.

I believe your mind set will set you free. The willingness to change your thought process regarding your workouts.Forget all the crap the industry has been feeding us. The willingness to commit to yourself in making a better "YOU"!

I love my workouts "bring on the burn".

To achieve my dream body I have spent the last 20 years doing everything you can think of: diet, fasting, unbelievable amounts of cardio, weights, interval training, ridiculous restriction of food intake, the Atkins diet, the banana diet......EVERYTHING
And I must say I did every now and then achieve my dream body and then put weight on again and then start all over.

Three months ago I broke my neck and life stopped.......I couldn't move, wasn't sure whether I ever would again. Now I am slowly starting to swim again and I am getting better. What I found surprising though was that I didn't put on weight and I didn't loose too much tone either even though I went from 100% exercise to nothing and I just ate what I felt like. Sometimes fruit, sometimes chocolate muffins.
So - finally after all these years - I now know that it's in your head! I told myself I would get back into it and still look good whatever the outcome of my injury - and here I am, still with not much energy, but everybody commenting on how good I look. One lady said, "if it wasn't for your neckbrace you would think you have been at a resort!"
My advice: think positive, eat healthy but don't restrict yourself and don't worry if you can't do 100 pushups - a paddle in the pool will do as well if that's all your body is capable of at the time. It will come!
